WS/CLG Crofting Law Conference 2014
Wednesday 29 October 2014
9.30 am – 5 pm
Lochmaddy Hall, North Uist
This year’s conference will address the impact of the recently passed Crofting (Amendment) (Scotland) Act 2013 and will include an update from the administrators of the Crofting Law Sump (Derek Flyn and Keith Graham), specially created to assist the Scottish Government to investigate the issues and problems in the new legislation which are causing difficulties for crofters, landlords and other stakeholders. In addition, the conference will include the following sessions:
• The Curse of. 19B – Crofting Conveyancing in the New World;
• The Deer Crofter;
• Crofting Law and Scottish Private Law - Irregularities and Anomalies; and
• Case law update.
The conference will be chaired by Sir Crispin Agnew of Lochnaw, Bt, QC and other confirmed contributors include:
